Representatives for Rae Sremmurd have confirmed that the duo aren’t breaking up, contrary to speculation on social media over the past few days.
The future of the hip-hop brothers, who only released the triple album ‘SR3MM’ last year, was first placed in doubt over the weekend after fans became concerned with a number of since-deleted posts made by rapper Slim Jxmmi.
As reported by Billboard, Jxmmi’s posts included the messages “I’m not Rae Sremmurd I’m slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself” and the more cryptic “Y’all won”.
After a post on the official Rae Sremmurd Twitter account (which you can see below) attempted to reassure worried fans, Jxmmi replied: “Noooosuuurrrr whoever tweeted this get off the Rae Srem page.”
Brothers gonna be brothers, it’s SREMMLIFE forever ???

Billboard have now been told by representatives of Rae Sremmurd that “the group will remain together”, and Jxmmi’s posts have now all been deleted. Swae Lee also attempted to move on from the furore with the below post yesterday (January 14).

This business follows only a week on from claims made by Swae that the duo are putting the finishing touches to ‘Sremm Life 4’, with a 2019 release expected.
Last week, Swae Lee and Post Malone shared the video for their collaborative single ‘Sunflower’.
