J J Fish and Chicken

I like J.J.Fish but all J.J.Fish are Not created equal. The best is San Lorenzo, then East Oakland, then on International Blvd. , downtown Oakland and then San Francisco trailing behind.
I no longer live in the East Bay so mostly I go to the San Francisco store.
I love fish and so when very hungry, too late to cook .., there I go. I take a chance. They are painfully inconsistent. If their manager is not there?? Good luck, trial and error.
When they are 'right' it's hard to mess up fish. They have issues with cooking oysters. Either, overcooking or not done.

But, sometimes the oil is too old. By the time you get there late evening.
But, when they are good they are GOOD and that is how they hook you to go back ... lol
Their service is decent. You can eat in the store.
Handicap accessible.

Update: Family members who were able to eat their meals ended up becoming sick. Once again, patronize them at your own risk.

I'm sorry but jj fish is nasty , the chicken was old and dry and I never complain about food like I usually suck it up and eat it , seriously, but the chicken was hot but seemed overall cooked and old like dark meat is not suppose to be dry dry , I order the 333 order of wings , teigh, and legs , I only ate one wing and broke into the rest of the food and it was all dryyyy and the oil sat on the shciken like it was old , event the bread was hard , its a easy pass for me

Food is consistently good, service is fast and the portions are generous. Keep it up!

I love their crab. I've had it at JJ's in Oakland and Stockton. It's served in a roasting pan with rice. I prefer it without rice or rice on the side.

Well the fish was delicious. Be prepared to give 1 or 2 needy people in the parking g lot a few dollars

The food was nasty no flavor and the fish was fishy asf chicken was hella dry the fries was all stuck together and yeah no I won't ever be going back

I have gone here a few times, but this last time will definitely be the last. I heard of the six piece, wings and fries. The wings are so small I've seen bigger, wings and pigeons. We also ordered a gizzard meal. Come on now this is the cheapest part of the chicken and you get eight little gizzards definitely not coming back it's not the same place it used to be. I have no idea if they changed ownership or just plain bad management can't blame the employees. They only serve with the owner's order.

Came by two days ago got some sole w/shrimp the cook is very good thank you I brought my we a couple of lunches and enjoyed

Fish and oyster were delicious. We did a take out. Service was in a timely manner. Restaurant can use an upgrade.
