Milo J is the alias of Argentine rapper Camilo Joaquín Villarruel. Initially associated with the BajoWest collective, in 2021 he started uploading his own material on social media and in August 2022 achieved his first viral hit with "Milagrosa." From that moment on, his rise was nothing short of meteoric: in a little over a year, he had scored collaborations with established stars such as Nicki Nicole and Duki and released several singles and his debut EP, the trap-influenced 511. Like many other artists from the Argentine urbano scene, the final step before international recognition came in October 2023 when he was summoned by serial hitmaker Bizarrap, who produced their joint EP En Dormir Sin Madrid. Barely a month later he released his first full-length, 111, which featured Peso Pluma, Yami Sadfie, Yahritza y Su Esencia, and Nicki Nicole. Its successor, 166, quickly followed in July 2024.
