About Devin Kennedy

Devin Kennedy (born October 4th, 1996) is a singer-songwriter and producer from Los Angeles, CA. Raised in a musical household, Devin started playing drums, guitar, and bass all before the age of 10. Devin began writing original music in his bedroom while in middle school and was quickly discovered by Grammy-winning producer Pat Regan, who mentored Devin throughout high school. At 17 Devin was accepted into Berklee College of Music, where he combined his passion for writing and producing in multiple genres to create a unique brand of left-of-center “California Sad-Pop” that’s become his trademark.

Devin graduated from Berklee in 2018 and kicked off his artist project by selling out his first
headline show at LA’s famed Peppermint Club to support the release of his first string of singles including, “Waste of Time”, “Body”, “Bad Habit” and “Feel the Same”. He continued his steady rise into 2019 with the release of his heartfelt singles “No Worries” and “Something Bout That Feeling”. Devin’s debut EP “You & Me, That’s Enough” was released late in 2019 to critical acclaim.

At the beginning of 2020, Devin dropped two high-flying singles “Happy Yet” and “No Parachute”, garnering 2 million TikTok page views within two weeks of release and praise from American Songwriter, Lyrical Lemonade, Pop Crave, and many more. Devin wrapped up 2020 with his enchanting singles, “Gummy Worms” and “Loose Change”, catching the ear of Spotify curators, earning him placements on Fresh Finds; Fresh Finds Pop, and Fresh Finds The Wave. In April of 2020, Devin was invited to join Charlie Puth, Lauv, Megan Trainor, Julia Michaels, and more on Elvis Duran’s Stay at Home Ball, where he performed “Happy Yet” to benefit Project C.U.R.E. and provide PPE to first responders in the Covid-19 fight. The show garnered more than 1 billion views, exposure that continues to propel “Happy Yet” streaming.

Devin kicked off 2021 with “Mean to Me”, a bold anthem about being your own worst enemy that features buzzing songstress Caroline Kole. His next release “Sundress,” a sunshine-infused love letter to your favorite person, landed Kennedy on playlists including Spotify‘s soda, Chill Pop and Fresh Finds, Apple Music’s Relationship Goals and New In Pop and Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Pop and Brand New Music, as well as earning praise from pop superstar Meghan Trainor. Kennedy followed the success of “Sundress” with his heartfelt single “Hurt U” which he co-wrote with David Hodges (Ed Sheeran, Christina Perry, Kelly Clarkson).

Devin somehow finds time in his busy schedule to collaborate with other artists including co-writing and producing successful singles for Ben Platt (Everything I Did To Get To You), Jake Miller (JUMPIN ft. MILES), EBEN (Ghost Town), Alex Aiono (Filling Shoes) and more.
