Dept (뎁트)

Dept The name “dept” comes from the combination of the word “debt” and “department”. This title implies a sense of aspiration and ambition that my team and I have to repay the “debt” to artists that we respect and have been inspired by in the past.

Career Dept debuted in July 2016 with his first single “편하게 들어/listen comfortably”. After that, he was inspired by musical conflicts along with “R&B” and “SoundCloud”, which led to albums in the “PB R&B” genre being released in 2017 and 2018. After feeling a bit skeptical about his music in 2019, he began to explore further into the pop genre in 2020 and has continuously been expanding his range and diversity of genres.

Genre While he continues to expand his musical spectrum, dept’s main genres are ‘R&B’, ‘POP’, and ‘dance music’.

Things I want to release through music It’s not just about me and my own story, but also about everyone who touches each other’s wounds. In order to create a quality album that presents a friendly and beautiful image, I am in constant communication with the same art director as we share the value to communicate with the public through various social media outlets.“We Make a New Culture.” Dept Music presents novel cultural pleasures and artistic alternatives for the 21st century. We aim to make a communicative culture reconnecting interpersonal barriers. Anybody can become a protagonist in our story.
