Filipowski agreed to a four-year, $12 million contract with the Jazz on Monday, Bobby Marks of ESPN.com reports. This is a generous deal for Filipowski, who took a risk by playing in Summer League without putting pen to paper on a contract after he was selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. Marks notes that this is the largest contract for a player selected in the second round of the draft in the last two years. With contract negotiations now in the rearview mirror, the big man can set his sights on earning a spot in Utah's rotation, which could prove challenging behind Taylor Hendricks (personal), Lauri Markkanen (shoulder) and John Collins (back).

Latest Jazz News
Kyle Filipowski : Inks four-year deal
Oscar Tshiebwe : Inks two-way pact with Utah
The Jazz signed Tshiebwe to a two-way deal Monday, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. After waiving Taevion Kinsey on Monday, the Jazz utilized their last two-way spot to sign Tshiebwe. The 24-year-old spent the 2023-24 campaign on a two-way deal with the Pacers, and he averaged 16.2 points, 16.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks across 27.2 minutes in 23 regular-season games with the club's G League affiliate, the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
Svi Mykhailiuk : Heading to Utah
Mykhailiuk agreed to a four-year, $15 million contract with the Jazz on Friday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Mykhailiuk has bounced around the league in recent years, but he's landed a multi-year deal with Utah. He made 41 regular-season appearances with the Celtics last year and averaged 4.0 points and 1.2 rebounds in 10.1 minutes per game. He should provide depth for his new club during the 2024-25 season.
Lauri Markkanen : Officially signs extension
Marrkanen (shoulder) signed a five-year, $238 million contract extension with the Jazz on Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports. Markkanen renegotiated his 2024-25 salary as well, earning himself another $24 million. With this extension, Markkanen will not be eligible to be moved prior to the Feb. 6 trade deadline, so it's the forward may be in this for the long haul with Utah. Markkanen will be a very popular target early on in fantasy drafts after averaging 23.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.2 three-pointers during the 2023-24 regular season.
Lauri Markkanen : Will sign extension with Utah
Markkanen (shoulder) is expected to sign a long-term extension with the Jazz, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports Tuesday. One of the most coveted trade targets on the market is now staying put, and a deal could be signed as soon as Wednesday. Markkanen would therefore be ineligible to be traded during the 2024-25 season, and the deal will keep him on the books through 2029. While specifics aren't known yet, Charania is reporting that the deal is expected to be upwards of $200 million which would make this the richest contract in Jazz history. Over the last two campaigns with the Jazz, Markkanen compiled regular-season averages of 24.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
Micah Potter : Inks contract with Utah
The Jazz signed Potter to a two-way deal Saturday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Potter will return to Utah for a third consecutive season on a two-way pact. The 26-year-old averaged a career-high 11.6 minutes in a career-high 16 regular-season appearances last season, during which he averaged 3.3 points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. Potter will likely spend most of his time with Utah's G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, as he is buried behind a fairly deep frontcourt consisting of Walker Kessler, John Collins, Drew Eubanks, Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Filipowski.
Kyle Filipowski : Impresses in SL finale
Filipowski recorded 26 points (8-22 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's Summer League finale against the Pistons. Filipowski impressed in Utah's final game at Summer League, posting game-highs in points and rebounds. After a productive showing in the Summer League, Filipowski turns his sights to the regular season. The Duke product will likely have to earn his playing time to begin the season, but he could carve out a role alongside Lauri Markkanen and Taylor Hendricks as the season progresses.
Darius Bazley : Won’t play Sunday
Bazley (illness) is out for Sunday's Summer League game against the Pistons, Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune reports. Bazley is officially out for Sunday's bout against the Pistons, becoming the sixth player ruled out on the Jazz for their Summer League Finale. Bazley should be good to go for training camp, but he faces an uphill battle for a spot in the rotation come the regular season.
