Davis (undisclosed) practiced with the starters in Tuesday's session, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Davis was considered week-to-week with what was described as a soft-tissue issue, but the veteran guard appears to have recovered from the injury. The 2019 third-round pick is projected to serve as the Bears' starting right guard for the upcoming season.

Bears Odds & Projections
Latest Bears News
Nate Davis : Returns to practice
Davis (undisclosed) practiced with the starters in Tuesday's session, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Davis was considered week-to-week with what was described as a soft-tissue issue, but the veteran guard appears to have recovered from the injury. The 2019 third-round pick is projected to serve as the Bears' starting right guard for the upcoming season.
Velus Jones : Impresses as running back
Jones rushed six times for 34 yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 33-6 preseason win over the Bills on Saturday. On Aug. 6, coach Matt Eberflus vowed to experiment with Jones as a running back. Eberflus was true to his word, and Jones handled six carries with the reserves, including a 19-yard run and a short touchdown. The Bears invested a third-round pick on Jones in 2022, and aside from contributions on special teams, the team has gotten very little offensive production from him. It may be difficult for the third-year player to move into one of the top three spots on the depth chart, but this showing certainly didn't hurt Jones' chances of seeing more work as a running back.
Rome Odunze : Blanked in preseason debut
Odunze didn't catch his only target in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. Chicago's starters played two drives, and DJ Moore was the only wide receiver to record a catch over that span, notching two receptions for 27 yards. It was a quiet preseason debut for Odunze, who didn't play in the Hall of Fame Game last week. Odunze could be more involved in next Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals as the Bears try to get the rookie ninth overall pick some touches prior to the regular season.
DJ Moore : Catches pair of Williams passes
Moore caught two of three targets for 27 yards in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. Moore was the only wide receiver to record a catch while rookie quarterback Caleb Williams is in the game, as Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze combined for only one target. Those offseason additions could cut into Moore's volume after Moore led the team with 136 targets last season, but Chicago's entire passing game has a much higher ceiling with Williams under center than it did with Justin Fields last season. Moore will look to keep building chemistry with Williams as the Bears continue preseason play next Saturday against the Bengals.
Khalil Herbert : Gets nine carries Saturday
Herbert rushed nine times for 31 yards and wasn't targeted in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. D'Andre Swift got two of the first three touches among Chicago's running backs and took a screen pass 42 yards before ceding the next eight touches to Herbert while the Bears' starters were in the game. Roschon Johnson didn't play against Buffalo after starting the Hall of Fame Game last week, so it remains unclear where Herbert stands relative to Johnson in a backfield that will likely be led by Swift but have room left over for at least one more meaningful contributor. Herbert will look to bolster his case for regular-season playing time in next Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals.
D'Andre Swift : Shows shiftiness in preseason start
Swift rushed once for three yards and caught his only target for 42 yards in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. Swift split snaps with Khalil Herbert (nine carries for 31 yards) while Chicago's starters were in the game, but the former Lions and Eagles running back is the more explosive option, and Swift showcased his shiftiness by turning a screen pass into a 42-yard gain on the opening drive. Swift will likely continue to see modest workloads throughout the preseason, including next Saturday's game against the Bengals, to ensure that he's healthy for the regular season.
Caleb Williams : Leads two long drives in NFL debut
Williams completed four of seven passes for 95 yards and added a 13-yard run in Saturday's 33-6 preseason win over the Bills. Williams led a pair of long drives in his highly anticipated NFL debut, but both of them stalled out in the red zone as the Bears settled for a pair of field goals. The rookie first overall pick had completions of 42 yards to running back D'Andre Swift and 26 yards to tight end Cole Kmet, but the wide receiver trio of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze combined for only two catches, both by Moore. Williams will likely get a chance to clean up the red-zone struggles and build chemistry with his receivers in next Saturday's preseason game against the Bengals.
Nate Davis : Week-to-week with injury
Head coach Matt Eberflus said after Thursday's practice that Davis (undisclosed) is dealing with a soft-tissue injury and is considered week-to-week, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports. No further details have been provided, but Davis will miss the Bears' preseason opener against the Bills on Saturday, and the 27-year-old guard could also be held out against the Bengals on Aug. 17. Matt Pryor and Ja'Tyre Carter are candidates to serve as the starting right guard for Saturday's contest in Davis' absence.
